Best gaming monitor Asus ROG Swift OLED PG27AQDM features or review

The Asus ROG Swift OLED PG27AQDM stands as an exceptional monitor that we wholeheartedly endorse. All the positive aspects we discussed about the LG version apply equally to the Asus variant, with the added advantage of a remarkable 30 to 40 percent increase in brightness – a truly impressive enhancement. This substantial boost in brightness significantly enhances the monitor's suitability not only for viewing HDR content but also for everyday desktop applications.

In our assessment, this emerges as the premier WOLED gaming monitor and takes the lead among the 1440p 240Hz offerings. However, this raises the question of why it claims the second spot rather than the first. The distinction lies in the WOLED versus QD-OLED debate. While we do have a slight inclination towards QD-OLED, making this decision is notably challenging given the close competition.

QD-OLED surpasses even the PG27AQDM in terms of brightness, boasts a slightly improved subpixel structure, better uniformity (although not flawless), and we find the ultrawide format more appealing. The higher-ranked competitor also possesses a few advantages that the Asus model lacks, and the PG27AQDM doesn't gain any extra points in terms of value, as its price stands at a substantial $1,000. It's important to note that these top three products can be seen as interchangeable; they all representhighly commendable OLED monitors well worth the investment.
